BEAMERS AND SECURITY
- DOES IT PROTECT MY BEAMER FROM VANDALS?
Certainly, the sturdy fiberglass casing adequately protects the video projector from collisions with objects, such as being hit by rocks.
- DOES IT PROTECT MY VIDEO PROJECTOR FROM THEFT?
The beamer inside the enclosure can be anchored to a sturdy steel ring that protrudes from the protection, which can be further secured with a chain.
- IS IT POSSIBLE TO APPLY AN ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM TO THE CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE?
Yes, we have various alarm systems, including GPS, to track your device.
- WHY ARE FORCED-AIR PROJECTOR ENCLOSURES RATED IP54 AND NOT IP65 OR A HIGHER LEVEL OF PROTECTION?
IP65 or higher IP ratings refer to enclosures with airtight seals, which would prevent the exchange of airflow with the outside of the enclosure, leading to condensation and overheating issues.
PROIETTA offers an additional solution: IP65 enclosures equipped with an air conditioning system, designed to ensure optimal performance even when exposed to extremely hot climates such as that of the United Arab Emirates.
- CAN I USE THE CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE FOR SOUNDPROOFING THE BEAMER?

- I HAVE A VIDEO PROJECTOR WITH A BRIGHTNESS EXCEEDING 35,000 ANSI LUMENS; CAN I USE A PROIETTA CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE TO PROTECT IT?
Yes, if your video projector doesn’t fit into one of our standard enclosure models, we can create a custom case specifically for it.
- CAN I MONITOR MY BEAMER FROM THE OUTSIDE OR BRING A VIDEO SIGNAL TO ITS INPUTS?
Yes, you can use a waterproof cable gland to connect a network cable and/or a video cable directly to the beamer. Similarly, you can bring a signal outside using the same cable gland, for example, to connect the audio output from an internal source within the enclosure to an external audio system.
- WHEN TO CHOOSE THE PROIETTA ENCLOSURE WITH AC COOLER COMPARED TO THE PROIETTA ENCLOSURE WITH FORCED AIR?
The hermetic seal of PROIETTA enclosures with AC Cooler, and thus the absence of airflow exchange with the outside, allows for the protection of projectors in extreme climatic conditions typical of hot countries. Therefore, the installation of this type of system is generally not recommended for the more typical Eurasian or North American climates but rather for African and Middle Eastern climates, particularly in areas prone to sandstorms.
PROIETTA ENCLOSURES WITH FORCED AIR already have the capability to expel small sand infiltrations and protect video devices from summer temperatures. Only in the case of installations in areas prone to sandstorms and extreme heat, the use of a PROIETTA enclosure with AC Cooler is recommended.
The video projectors installed inside the enclosures can also be a factor in choosing between forced air or conditioned air enclosures since laser or lamp-based devices have different temperature resistances.
USE
- UNDER THE SUN, DOES THE CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE ALWAYS NEED TO BE POWERED?
Yes, it is advisable because this way it automatically dissipates heat during solar irradiation.
- DOES THE CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE ALWAYS NEED TO BE POWERED IN LOW TEMPERATURES?
Yes, it is advisable because this way the ambient temperature remains suitable for the video projector to turn on.
- CAN I PUT THE BEAMER IN PORTRAIT MODE?
Yes, if the dimensions require it, we can provide a model with an elevated lid to accommodate portrait mode.
- CAN I FIT TWO VIDEO PROJECTORS INSIDE THE CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE?
Yes, as long as the combined heat output of the two video projectors does not exceed the cooling capacity of the enclosure.
- DO TWO BEAMERS IN STACK FIT INSIDE THE CASE?
To be evaluated on a case-by-case basis depending on the models. We can potentially customize the climate-controlled enclosure to accommodate the stack.
- HOW MUCH LOSS OF BRIGHTNESS DOES THE PRESENCE OF THE ENCLOSURE’S GLASS CAUSE?
As it is an extra transparent glass, the loss of brightness is almost negligible.
- WHAT IS THE BLACK ADHESIVE FILM APPLIED TO THE GLASS FOR?
The black adhesive film holds the glass fragments together in case of damage or accidental breakage.
- CAN I TILT THE PROIETTA CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE AT ANY DEGREE OF INCLINATION?
Yes, but if you exceed a 30° tilt upwards or downwards, you need to install an air deflector to protect the filters from water ingress in case of rain.
- HOW DO I ATTACH THE BEAMER TO THE PROIETTA CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE?
Inside the enclosure, there is a plate to which you can attach the beamer.
- CAN I ALSO INSERT A PLAYER INSIDE?
Yes, inside the PROIETTA climate-controlled enclosure, there is space to accommodate video players or other hardware.
- HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO REPLACE THE AIR FILTERS?
It depends on the pollution level of the external environment.
- CAN I ENTER THE PROIETTA CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENCLOSURE WITH AN HDMI, LAN, AUDIO, ETC. CABLE?
Yes, there are two cable glands to allow the passage of HDMI, LAN, audio cables, and more.
- IS IT POSSIBLE TO REPLACE A VIDEO PROJECTOR LAMP WITHOUT REMOVING IT FROM THE PROIETTA ENCLOSURE?

With an additional conditioning unit, we can ensure the operation even at arctic temperatures.
